Before you begin
You want to prepare a retirement benefit estimate.
Steps
1) Click the Benefit Estimates menu item on the left navigation panel. (From the Home screen, you can click the Benefit Estimates icon/link).
The system displays the Benefit Estimates screen.
2) Click Benefit Estimate Calculator icon/link.
The system displays the Benefit Estimate Calculator screen.
3) Read the instructions and Disclaimer.
4) Click Benefit Estimate Calculator.
The system displays the Benefit Estimate Calculator Wizard – Step 1.
5) Enter required Calculation Details:
a. Estimate Name
b. Last Employment Date
c. Retirement Date
6) Enter optional fields, as needed.
7) Click Save & Next.
The system displays the Benefit Estimate Calculator Wizard – Step 2.
8) Review the Salary Projection.
9) Modify the data and click Calculate to re-compute the projections, as needed.
10) Click Save & Next.
The system displays the Benefit Estimate Calculator Wizard – Step 3. (If the calculation does not include Service Purchase, proceed to Step 17).
11) Review Refunded Accounts, if available.
12) Select the Include in Estimate checkbox, as needed.
13) Click Add to add Actuarial Service Purchase Details.
The system displays the Actuarial Purchases pop up window.
14) Enter Actuarial Purchase information and click Save.
The system returns to the Benefit Estimate Calculator Wizard – Step 3.
15) If needed, delete Actuarial Purchase records by selecting the checkbox corresponding to the Actuarial Purchase record and clicking Delete.
16) Click Save & Next.
The system displays the Benefit Estimate Calculator Wizard – Step 4. (If the calculation does not include Deductions, proceed to Step 20).
17) Enter fields in the Health Insurance panel, as needed.
18) Enter fields in the Income Tax Information panel, as needed.
19) Click Save & Next.
The system displays the Benefit Estimate Calculator Wizard – Step 5.
20) Review the Calculation Details.
21) Click Finish. (If you need to return to a previous step, click Previous).
The system displays the Benefit Estimate Results screen.
22) Click Print to print the estimate.
23) Click Copy & Create New Estimate to create a new estimate.
What happens next
The system saves the estimate.
